On That Day

On that day
The majestic night-light will be held like a prisoner stripping the stargazers of its beauty

On that day
The sun will not shine with the radiance of a billion candles

On that day
Rain will not fall from clouds but from the hearts of man

On that day
The portal of eternity shall be revealed so that all may see the reality of infinity

But today
The plasma river continues to race within my physical boundaries

On that day
Man will not seek proof of truth but endeavor for immunity of what is to come

On that day
The true purpose of a soul will be defined to all

But today
I shall be resolved on my journey to carry the cross in his name before the fall becomes winter in this life

On that day
We shall beg for death as if we have been malnourished by life only to have our request to fall upon deaf ears

But today
I shall not forsake the true love that walked in flesh while time is an experience and not a memory

On that day
The bones we buried in the backyard of our mind shall rise up an expose us as skilled imposters

On that day
It will be too late to scour the blemishes form our soul

On that day
Wishing for science to be true is better than hiding from the wrath of a friend that gave his life.
