On The Shelf. (Still)
Stuck here, on this shelf,
by Andrew Matthews
But I wouldn't be if I had wealth,
If I were handsome
If I had a harley laden with chrome.
There are so many of us here,
All we have are cigarettes and beer.
Cable TV and an imagination.
An imagination and a sense
Of terminal loneliness.
At one with my TV set,
My stereo hasn't broken down yet.
They're all I've got,
Apart from my family
My wonderful family.
Some people don't know how lucky they are.
To have someone.
Some people take love for granted.
Never wondering where they're next lover will come from.
