Once Upon A Time

Poem By Susan Davis

Patchouli and rose oil
Lyrical poetry to touch the soul
First kisses
Lost in the thought of you
Burning candles
Incense lit to ward off the demons
Roses, butterflies, miniscule mushrooms
Soft-spoken words
Feeling myself swoon
Look at me and see nothing else
This level of love
Can never be felt
Tripped up by a kiss
Melt my inhibitions
Do you really think they will be missed?
You were my reason to live
I would die when you smiled for me
The memory brings a tear to my eye
As I ponder what could have been
Once upon a time.

Beautiful and earthy........just wondering if you are my beautiful and earthy friend Sue who went to school in Boulder?

Random Thoughts

pressurized panic
dirty fingernails
nasty thoughts
vinegar lingers on pouty lips

In This Mind

Pick a tulip
Wish on a star
Close those eyes
Feel the scar.

No One's There

all alone
fists full of air
scent of loneliness
reaching out for you
