One Candle

She said, One Candle
Would be in her window tonight
To help me find and see my way
If I chose to come tonight

So many disappointments
Should I go or not to her
Should I take a chance for romance
Or should I prepare for the hurt

As I turn the car
Her house is down the street
Should I stop the car and protect my heart
Should I turn around and leave

Now I can see it
Her house is right before me
And as I do I can't believe
A hundred candles I see

One hundred candles
And there in the midst she does stand
I get out of the car and she runs to me
This woman has found her man

One hundred candles
A hundred burning for me
No more disappointments
I found a woman for me.

As it burns, very well done.
