Poem By Eli MorenoDrew
I’ve thought about her,
More frequently than I should
I’ve held her in my arms and thought I was sure
But never thought she would.
I’ve thought about that word
Wondering if it was true.
Yet it flies around my brain like a bird
And picks at me like a shrew.
We’ve agreed they are over used
And become so meaningless.
But here the thought that I have mused:
What if it is true to us?
I’ve tried to hide away this fact
And tried to nullify the situation
But I can’t ignore our little pact,
Within her is my salvation.
