Our Dreams

Poem By Ray Hansell

Dreaming is a way
Of helping one escape
The rigors of a tough day
As images begin to take shape

You're in a far off place
With beauty all around you
The view is so breathtaking
Everything is brand new

In dreams you see places never seen
But you hope that you'll return
For what you witness in a dream
Should never cause concern

Hope, happiness and joy
Are the orders of your dreams
Because those memories
In dreams are always seen

The time will come when you'll awake
Lying there staring at the ceiling
As your eyes start to focus
You feel this wonderful feeling

You know you were lost in a dream
Sent to a far off place
You cannot forget the beauty
As you were lost in time and space

You hope one day to revisit
This most magnificent place
Filled with love and beauty
A place blessed grace

A Child's World

Welcome to my world
Some say it's a simple place
Well that may be so
But at least, there's always a smile on my face

A Cheater Caught

You took off with him
Seeking something new
Little did you know
The things that he would do to you

A Contented Mother

It seems for so many years
I've lived my life for someone else
I put my feelings and needs
Away somewhere on a shelf

Sad eyes
Sad heart
Sad days
When apart

One Should Never Feel

A man all alone
No one to hold
Existing in a place
That's lonely and cold

No One Really Knows

I don't look to the future
Because the future is not mine
I live each and every day
One day at a time
