Little Church (Of Armenia)

There was a little church
On a mountain side
Where Noah's ark did land
There many Christians died

But they never did lose faith
In Jesus Christ the Lord
He filled them with courage
To face adverse swords

Though they were outnumbered
They answered God's call
Too many died for Jesus
But their spirit didn't fall

People of Armenia
Christian nation first
All those brave heroes
Of that little church

Invaders they kept coming
For land and other things
Still the church stood firm
To Jesus they did sing

Whatever came their way
That little church would cope
Their Savior gave them strength
And filled them with hope

Though they were outnumbered
They answered God's call
Too many died for Jesus
But their spirit didn't fall

People of Armenia
Christian nation first
All those brave heroes
Of that little church

Then one day an enemy
Fiercest of them all
Attacked the little church
Made her walls to fall

People they just scattered
With faith they did rebuild
And their little churches
Now the world is filled

Though they were outnumbered
They answered God's call
Too many died for Jesus
But their spirit didn't fall

People of Armenia
Christian nation first
All those brave heroes
Of that little church

Yes, they are brave heroes
Of that little church

The tempo seems jolly for such a grievous story of misery in the sun, dust, and flying insects. I enjoyed reading it but would surely resent such a lifestyle ~
The poem superbly reflects the bitter life experiences in the outback. The pains in life were captured by the poet in an excellent way.
The hard life in the Out Back is well depicted. Excellent poem
Weeks of drought! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
