My Mind, it has told me,
That I’ll have Pain today,
I hope it will not last long,
And will quickly go away.

Where will the pain be?
Will in be in a wound or sore?
In my Head, Arm, Tooth or Knee?
Will it linger for evermore?

Amputees tell us
Of pain in limbs not there,
Why do their Minds fail them,
To give them a painful scare?

If I put ‘Mind over Matter’
I can lift a hot Coffee Pot,
But if I know what I’m holding,
I'll let go ~ and drop the lot.

So why can’t we do it always?
Educate our Minds ~ that is,
So Pain does not last long,
And without it ~ happier live.
