He has never been alone
by CHUKWUEBUKA MOSES
Broken and stripped of his pride
He was sent back to face what they couldn't condone
And slowly his confidence died
He cried to a supernatural being
To hearken to his voice
He wanted to be the next of kin
But he didn't get any response.
He hid his shame in jokes so they couldn't be seen
No one could see the crime scene in his heart
He tried to duck all the rains of insults
But somehow the water finds a way to touch you.
