Pardon Me While I Laugh

Poem By Bridget Bush

Two girls in one week is that what it is?
You have a great track record going for you
Pardon me while I laugh about it
You drag yourself down just to get sympathy
Little do you know, you're not getting it from me
Why should I feel sorry for you?
One day you're asking about me
The next, you're wondering about someone else
Whatever helps you sleep at night
Whatever helps you get over her
It just won't be me helping you
I'll be the one with my back turned
While you're bouncing around like a rubber ball
Pardon me while I laugh

Thank You, Thank You

Thank you, thank you
I've lifted me up where you left me down
Brushed off the water when you left me to drown
For all the hurt you gave to me

Kiss You, Touch You, Feel You, Want You

You've got me burning
My mind's wheels keep turning
No matter how hard I've tried
I always find myself tongue tied

The Beach

My mind is on a sandy beach,
my body stuck in hell.
A salty scent burnt in my nose,
a secret I won't tell.

Vicodin: A Quitters Dilemma

Drops of white heaven compacted into pill form
burning intensity in my pocket
hands fumbling them about
four tablets of glory waiting to be taken

Breakdown

Stop resisting, just give in
It's all your fault, you are the sin
Breakdown and lose
you cannot choose

Drunk

Your fingers play, exploring the netherworld sins of foreplay
your sensory digit of venom black
surrounding the cushiony mortals of southern rays
a stench of Southern Comfort flaring from your nostrils
