Petals.

Red petals twinkling with dew,
Welcoming every customer new.
So pretty a sight to behold,
Swaying and dancing, enchanting till they turn old.
Petals vary in color so pretty,
Pretty as dreams, yet dreams so false what a pity.
The beauty of a flower is in its colorful petals,
Pretty in the morning till darkness settles.
Colorful that is all we see,
But petals don’t grow on you or me.

The exquisiteness of the flower as well as all growing or green things, has inspired me to make my living designing and selling them. I often think how sad it is when they wither and die. Yet another always blooms around the corner. Thank you for such a lovely, inspired verse! Blessings! -TGR(Theresa)
