Phantom Of The Mind

He took me to strawberry fields
and left me amongst the red dots
which left a harsh aftertaste on
my honeyed tongue.

We walked through the tall grass,
prickling my senses and covering
my wondered eyes.

The world was ridden with the musk of
hot-headed minds, heavy weary bodies
and dulled fantasy.
