Playing With Fire

So just feel,
lets ignore the barriers,
because I’ll be yours,
all yours,
lets be truthful.
Here’s a inside look to my life,
I don’t know how to settle down,
I don’t know what I’m looking for,
but the feeling in this is that its important.
I don’t believe in those hardcore romances,
I tend to believe in one night love.
Something inside,
searching out loud,
standing alone.

I’m so sick of being alone,
the temporary comfort that is just that,
temporary.
I want something that lasts.
We can’t cover all the angles,
but try and understand what my heart is pleading.

I want you to be the one to call me beautiful,
I want you to be the one who calls me back
when I hang up on you,
I want you to be the one who stays awake,
JUST to watch me sleep.
I want you to be the one who kissed my forehead,
I want you to be the one who shows me off to your friends,
and will hold my hand in front of them,
I want to constantly hear you say that you love me,
that you’re so lucky to have me,
and that you’ll never let me go.

I want you to be the one who turns to your friends and says....
“...that’s her...”

Jessica, I thought your poem was great. I like the sentiment. Don't settle for anything less than what you have stated. Pick the one you want. Make them come to you. Men should be thoughtful. Make them adore you. You are young. Have confidence, and remember that you are worth it. Get your education.
