by Leopold Toporovski
Not crying down into dying valleys-
Combed with blood-streams -
Of a wounded Land.
If I could have the whispering forest,
Free from ax of greed and plundeer -
Blending in voices with thundering sea-shore,
With sands still white and not yet raped.
I then would say to the World wide:
My Leaders too love this Land!
Just as you do, O World -
Just as do, I....
