Poet Error Ridden Typing Out Poems

Poem By Terence George Craddock (afterglows echoes of starlight)

old timer veteran poet
do you still remember
those typewriter days
clanking clanking out poems
fingers striking letter keys
a mishit saw several letter keys
entangled in the same narrow space
trying to hit ribbon to hit ink on page

a single mistake a single error
meant deletion options various
to correct a frustrating error
changing a word an entire line
meant starting poem on fresh sheet
we did not then write poems fast

draft to perfect copy an error free adventure torture
