Poets Be Brave

Poem By Tom O'Connor

A poet can say
Things in a way
That seem, they may
Uncanny.

Of things today
And yes, yesterday.
Using words to play
Their feelings.

All 'true' crave.
Some rant, some rave,
The perfect way -
Eh, what's grammar.

Pen is king, Poet knave
Men and women truly brave.
I will never be afraid,
of rejection.

Comments about Poets Be Brave

Hear, hear. Thumbs up on that. -Tailor B.
I love the flow, the meter, the simplicity combined with intelligence. BRAVO!
Talented souls who are not afraid of rejection will eventually find acceptance somewhere. Write on, brave poet! Regards, Sandra

Different voices,
Separate conversations,
Mixed together,
Heard as one.

Strange Vibrations

Strange vibrations,
aren't like good vibrations at all.
They make you stumble
Make you feel like your going to fall

Simply Living / California Grass

Fields of dark green grass
Getting sunburned in the summer.
The green turns brown, then
Bleached white gold.

two came together
intended
or not
you are here.

The Quiet One

The quiet one, eternal ticking,
Rules all men without a sound.
He's there before or first breath.
He's there long after we hit the ground.
