Half of me loves you
the other is not so kind.
I look at you and kiss your lips
so passionate we find.
Our energy intoxicates
we leave each other drained.
Yet when we pull apart again
things never really change.
You breed butterflies inside me,
stab a thousand needles through my spine,
your fingerprints leave scars,
thus you say 'you're mine.'
But my fingers are on fire
when they graze across you skin.
My eyes pierce through your flesh
changing violence and sin.
Yet we always part the same
and nothing's ever resolved,
so though we raise each other up
we're always doomed to fall.
No part of us is logical
we're naive to really try.
But then to REALLY look at it
we've already said goodbye.
