Poor Mrs. Duwhite

Poor Mrs. Duwhite

My heart goes out to poor Mrs. Duwhite;
A single mother in disguise because of her husband's vice.
He hangs out all day just drinking and playing dice,
And then comes home expecting his chicken and rice.
She works twice as hard solely to pay the bills,
And wants to tell the cops, but he threatens to kill.
The kids are a handful, yes they act real bratty,
But all they really want is attention from their Daddy.
Poor Mrs. Duwhite, man I feel your pain.
Though our situation's different, it's quite the same.
My Daddy left me as a child, and mom was never enough;
And because I felt no love, I ended up in handcuffs.
