Prayer For My Enemies

Poem By Okuola Paul Abiola

Lord, I pray for my enemies
Grant them a change of heart
Let them see the harm in their actions

Lord, teach them to know
That they inflict injuries
Not only on me but also themselves
Let them know
That if I go down they go down too
Since we are all dependent
And we shall reap whatever we sow

Lord, make them see
That what goes around comes around
That no labourer will go unpaid
That you love them and wants them back

Lord, show them that I love them
These I ask of thee
Hear me O Lord (Amen)

Comments about Prayer For My Enemies

It is good to pray for our enemies, Okuola. They need prayers. It is a great command from our Lord. This is a nice piece to remind us to be humble and forgiveness is a must. Loving them is very hard to do, but the Lord commands us to love them! Very touching poem!
