by Dylan Sharkey
She can captivate a heart with just one glance,
Lead a man astray with just one dance,
Change the world with a subtle smile,
Her mind and matter; elegant and facile.
But they know not
Of the demon lurking behind closed doors,
Who scales the walls and sprawls the floors,
Who reigns with such an air of terror
And snaps at such a minor error.
A wild injustice, She lives in fear,
Forever wondering if He is near,
Day by day she loses affection,
A poetic tragedy is a Preconception.
