Pretender

Of course you do not believe those lies
What is sad is that he thinks the world does
Is he ignorant or is he wise
It’s easier to ignore and not make a fuzz
Haze and clouds, vapor and fog
Comes out the mouth – without remorse
Shame not present, what a dog
Surely will fail if he still follows that course
Who is he fooling – only himself
The world could care less
As cold and frozen as an ice shelf
With all the lies – who is he trying to impress?
So is this man for real or is he a pretender
An opponent, a phony, a fake or a fraud
Does he get a sense of splendor?
Lies continue like a river three miles broad
