Prison Walls

Different types of handworks
we create walls to imprison us
manacled by societal false sense
when we are born free in choices

we lay waste to spend in trickles
our entire life imprisoned within
the confines of our own thoughts

why can’t we ever go beyond
this sordid narrow, mind-made
personalized sense of self
that is conditioned by the past?

it is only when we look deeper
we see a serene well, rivulets
dimensions of consciousness
far deeper than thought
the very essence of who we are

in all I see a presence, awareness
the unconditioned consciousness
bubbling forth to erase futilities
and to break my Pollsmore walls
to emerge victorious
indeed and in truth.
