Pt 6 - Sleepless Prayer

Poem By Jane Sparkes

If I lay in your arms and bathed in the moment's intoxication, where else but but down would I fall upon standing?
Euphoria, so insidiously delicious, quickly or just one day in the future will be ravaged by a storm of change.
Luck, like tides do ebb and flow, as do conscious will and bodies that fail with certainty.
We strain to relish one moment in time, side by side together, to be held above all others.
This gratification does pull esteem to pieces of joy on a spiral of one way down.
To cease to crave will take our breath away for sure.
Not to want to be touched is to fade to grey.
Soak my troubled yearning with doubt.
Seize the vacuum of my soul and drown my dreams in reality.
Sleep easy.
Dream clearly.
And be comforted by your oneness.
The idyll does not set you free as much as condemn you.

The longer I am
The more I know
The less I know
Was what I thought

If You Look After Me

If you look after me
I’ll be a good companion
I will stand in a stable and look forward to the food you bring
I will ignore my urge to wander, to roam

End It Now

If I end it now, before its dead
He'll remember it fondly
To herself, she said.

Stranger Passing Through

See you stranger with your eyes that measure, take notes and absorb my reality.
A strange place discovered, call it middle ground or no-mans land.
Funny that where no man treads a woman is safe but unaffected, no woman wants this anonymity, this vacuum.
So onwards into new regions we wander.

Suddenly Single

Rolling down my cheeks the tears
Shoulders shaking, the pain sears
Burning heart with hurt and fear
Anguish reigns now you're not near.

The Sting In Your Tail

Fly with me said the honey bee
Hour by hour set your heart free
Feel our love, trust our harmony,
The futures bright for you and me
