Rain (Hindi)

Poem By Rajnish Manga

Rain

The rain is raining all around,
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.

Original poem by Robert Louis Stevenson
मूल कवि: रॅाबर्ट लुई स्टीवेंसन

Hindi Translation by Rajnish Manga
हिंदी अनुवाद रजनीश मंगा द्वारा

बारिश

हर तरफ बारिश में क्या बौछार होती है,
खेतों और वृक्षों का यह तो प्यार होती है,
छातों पर तड़ तड़ की धारोधार होती है,
सागर में जलपोतों को भी ये भिगोती है.

Sweet innocent poem. Rain bring joys to the parched souls. Nice translation.
Reading this poem I hear the sweet sound of rain and I feel that drops of water falling down from the heart of cloud. I also feel that a drop of tear the eyes are gifting paying tribute to such great poet and rain water is purifying the heart and soul of a reader. Rain has multiple qualities. Through cycle of water, sea water goes from sea but while cloud does rain it falls everywhere in mountain, lands and sea. A motherly relationship we see and feel.
After reading both versions, it's too difficult to get which one is actual and which one is translated. The line, " छातों पर तड़ तड़ की धारोधार होती है, " surpasses that of the English one. MANTRAMUGDHATA!
A great work sir! I profusely admire your wonderful skills of translation! I derive a great pleasure reading this fabulous popm time and again!
A short poem that is worth translating. R.L. Stevenson endures.
