Can we pretend? Pretend to be in love.
I can do that. Can you?
What would happen, I wonder.
There is a line between pretending and reality
where one can cross over.
I don’t want to cross over to reality.
I don’t want to really love you.
I hate real feelings.
They interfere with my dreams.
They destroy my dreams.
They are less than my dreams.
Why would I want you?

Can you love me
the way I need
Can you be more
than what I dream
If not I have to pass
for I know before we
begin, it will not last

It's not that I'm asking for too much.
Only as you slip over my being,
know that it is me you touch.
Feel my burning and not your own.
I will do the same
to find the unkown.

Use me to make your music,
let your rhythms drive me
and your timing soothe me

Strum and drum in your frenzy
Scream in your power
Don't be afraid it's not the norm
Take me with you to be reborn

Kiss and breathe,
Tease and tease
Wait and wait
til you seethe
I'll be there too
Can you be more than
my dream.
If not why would I want you?

A very strong and emotional write Karen, with a very important message. We all have our dream guy, and everyone else is just a shadow of that dream. Very good. A 10+++++ and thank you for sharing. Love & hugs, Barbara
