If

Poem By Alc Harris

Reading into my mind
creating and recreating new things
new possibilities
old ways, new ways
same coin.
different sides
good and bad
different words for same thing.
All for nothing
or nothing else
I blame reality
digging my own casket
journeying towards the universal
mind is mind
call it chalk and cheese
kiss those geese,
pop bottles,
worship,
join the warship
delet names
call it rebirth.

married to the money
attorney or baloney
I do it like a king
change crowds
divide territories
write and rewrite histories
born fear, intimidation
adamsite clouds
mock black sheep
cut their wings
give them codeine
show them glory
milk their brains
yes,
that is the new law
reap, damp waste
codified in perpetuity
hail me

don't call me sir
call me survivor
waiting for rebirth
bloodbath, halleluiahs
join chorus,
rebirth Africa

My Unsung Toil

A son of the soil
who came to show my foil
my little unsung toil
my soothing oil to this noel

Holy Armageddon

Frozen minds, dangling feet
Bound to what they understand not
Mystery and fantasies are their compatriots
Yet they walk in chains,

To Eternity And Beyond

Horns forlornly tooting
hearts faintly beating
tears freely flowing
vaguely stirring at the tick-tock

To My Unknown Love

Every night
On my bed by night I see you
I feel you coming
riding on clouds

Your Love Is A Lie

Now I have to tell the tale again
tears still running down my cheek
a cupid my tender heart shot
with smiles of the rising sun

Rebirth

Reading into my mind
creating and recreating new things
new possibilities
old ways, new ways
