I am the holder of all knowledge in the known universe,
by Thomas Vaudin
When someone discovers something I’m the first to know,
But no one knows much about me,
Apart from what the eye can see.
They spend their life taking from me,
Stealing my body in an effort to make money,
But what does that profit cost me,
Status dead, never alive.
I have lived since the start of time,
Watched my occupants grow in hate and spite,
Polluting me, ruining me,
Until I am like them.
In my eyes they should thank me,
For protecting them, loving them,
It gets so hard,
But they give me nothing.
I am the world,
Elegant in mind and majesty,
As my reward for protecting you,
Recycle and for once, protect me.
