Reflection

Poem By Lilly Rose

In the mirror,
She has so many faces:
Tearstained
Agitated
Amused
Smiling
Each face captures,
A small part of her:
The part that hides who she is,
The part that wears her heart on her sleeve,

Have combined
To create a person as unique as a fingerprint.

She loves who she is.
To look in the mirror
And see yourself
Not somebody else,

A feeling without comparison.

She extends her hand to me…
I take it.

Love: The Spiteful Whore

Love. What a fickle word.
The way it tickles your tongue.
It exudes fantasy, delight.
Love is a whore full of spite.

Colour

Colour.
That simple 'u'.
It changes the shape, the flavor.
No longer an adjective.

Solace

Today, I found Solace.
He sat beside me.
His hat was twisted,
Bottle caps around its rim.
