Reflections in a mirror
I could see her clearly
Her hair so gold, her smile the sun
Her figure thin, but not skin and bones
She was perfection

Reflections in a mirror
I saw him. He was shady
A shadow on the wall at best
Sly and wicked, yet attracting
His words pleased her.
His smile charmed her.
his lips melted her.

Reflections in a mirror
His fists in her face, His foot in her ribs
She was starting to fade, I could tell
He came at her again. I pound on the glass.
'Leave her be! Leave her be! '
He didn't listen. I screamed.
Glass shattered.

A broken reflection of myself in a mirror.
