Remembering My Father's Demise

Poem By Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Morose and sad feelings have I today,
They are expected of me,
As I remember fourteen years ago,
When My Father took his leave of me.

I stood at the foot of My Father's bed,
At Galei Zahav, his Netanya Home,
At thirteen twenty-five Israeli time,
He let out his final moan.

For G-d had taken him from this World,
To Heaven his Soul did go,
At rest with our Ancestors he is now,
Not far from the Majestic Throne.
