Repitition

As I walk through the night,
on a cold, wet, grey trail,
I am destined to fall,
I am destined to fail.

As I look at my life,
it's not that far behind me,
demons glow in all corners,
I need to set them free.

I met a man who tried to help,
he sat me down and said Son,
your walk to righteousness is on the way,
and your journeys just begun.

I said to him I don't understand,
I just want to leave this people and city behind,
I need to understand freedom of the soul,
in any way, shape or form to find.

Go now he said to me
there's a boat leaving for the distant shore,
leave you troubles all here with me,
don't come around here no more.

Start a new elsewhere, hurry up and go,
walk into the distant sun,
loneliness will find you again,
don't let it catch you, always stay on the run.

I ended up in a rainy town,
fortified with sin,
every town is just the same,
waiting to take you in.

As I walk through the night,
on a cold, wet, grey trail,
I am destined to fall,
I am destined to fail.
