Repossessed Ambitions

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

Not too many today can afford to sit,
With aged old depictions...
Describing,
Who creates their conflicts...
While judgements from them are passed.

Who exclusively invited those to feast,
With a nonstop greed.
Who granted those they chose to select,
A feeding upon credit...
Until they deepened their debts,
To squeeze and not protect the economy.

Not too many today can afford to sit,
With aged old depictions...
Describing,
Who creates their conflicts...
While judgements from them are passed.

Not today?
Too many are hungry and homeless,
To be depicted as the culprits.
And too many finding themselves jobless,
Have discovered themselves betrayed.

Who exclusively invited those to feast,
With a nonstop greed.
Who granted those they chose to select,
A feeding upon credit...
Until they deepened their debts,
To squeeze and not protect the economy.

Those who have made unwarranted statements,
Will hopefully awakened to realize...
The answers to their questions,
Are not too far from their dwindling appetites.
Or repossessed ambitions.
