Respite From Suffering

Out
Out in the City first
then outside in the
encircling environs;
garden
he sate himself
the kindly sun was
fading
the first sunset glances
were out...
and after the dusk
hummed he to himself
as the breezes rose
and flowers behind
in front around
all scented.
Then
over his brow
the Poet Seer grew
dark.
He thought of
suffering.
Then his brow
lighted
As he thought
of the sweet respite
from suffering
that alas!
was soon to fade.
He rose and went back
to the City
went back to
