Poem Hunter
Road To Eternity
JN ( / )

Road To Eternity

On the way to eternity,
Crossing the prickly furze,
Approaching an abysmal gully,
Two unfriendly roads fuse.

The left lane, laid on luxury’s lap,
Tarred with profane-frenzy bliss,
Flooded with Vane-glory hope,
Leads to a terrible e’lasting blaze.

Covered with rugged gravel’ and grit’,
Side-stood thorn trees and siege shrubs,
The right road, wrung into ringlet,
Ends in a freedom packed palace.

Unto left troop the damn’
Like locusts looking for green leaves.
The influx breeds traffic jam
Of unbridled emotions and passions.

Right take the righteous
Though scanty in number.
Where love weds patience
Hope is found a member

Thus, road to yonder
Hence split in two
Needs be ponder’
For proper note of the duo.

Be braced to be brave
As we pray for the pride
To greet our grave
And forever be his bride.
