Running Sleeves

Poem By J. James Martinez

Trudging through the despair of daylight
Fighting battles
Outside Midst...
Losing the war within himself
Every breath feels compromised
Sick lungs share the same
Saving air
Panic runs rampant in soft smart matter
Past lives trigger insecurities
Pulling on running sleeves

with a mournful catching of breath

De adoracion

with a bang
is how a world shifts
with a crash
is how the frames fall

Desperate To Keep

Through our lives
We dream
Close our eyes

If I Had

If I had chalk
I would sketch a poem
If I had a canvas
I would paint a memory
