Seek The Season

Sunday morning and…
I’m down again
so it goes

The season looms of mirth
and mayhem
and many seek
the light of …
TRUTH

we squander blessings
in hunt of pleasure
while granting none
a hint of leisure

on others wings
we glide to
treasure
while hoarding
gain

by evil
measure

Sunday
evening
the hours
dwindle
a thirst
for truth
we need to

A very thought provoking piece. During the 'shopping season' I often regret that many sales persons may be denied the joy of the holidays. Those who focus on the hunt for treasure likewise deny themselves a greater prize.
