Poetry, String, Paper And Ink Stone
Poem By Luo Zhihai
Seen, it turns out, is not said,
When different, said is not decisive.
I see you lying in our bed,
the gap between us, till I say:
“Though you’re as separate from me
as night is separate from day,
your body holds the key
that helps me to unlock your mind,
so we may both together see
ourselves as one while we’re entwined.”
An adjective like separate
misleads; the moment that you add
a pinch of salt and pepper it
will help you see you are not sad.
