AW (A Long while ago / England)

September Day

The leafs are turning now
gray stillness consumes the air
as lightening splits the tree
pain now invades our hearts
Deep in our hearts
We are Forever changed.

Pale sunshine squints through
clouds of ash and sin
steel clouds spew ash
to cover the streets
where life used to be
Life forever changed

Illusions crucified in minutes
Tears flow, No concerts please
Broken dreams reveal the lie; charity
Justice, only justice knows
May God Forgive us,
For we now know, What we do.
