Shadow & Light

Poem By Dónall Dempsey

Light & shadow
arranged to meet

in the cathedral

speaking the strange tongue
of angels & gods.

I sit there
listening to their laughter.

The cathedral
a lesson in patience

puts up
with all their shennanagins

turns a blind eye
to their

making love
in a corner.

I leave
and they are left

without witness
to their kiss

until another mind
kneels to pray.

Others may curse the darkness, or be blinded by the light...but, as always, you see the beauty of the meeting of the two, 'arranging to meet in the cathedral, speaking the strange tongue of angels and gods..., ' and, as always, you do this so well.
Light and shadow in the cathedral speaking the tongue of angels and gods - you have a surpernatural rich imagination and so good own way with words....
