Shattered

I'm a shattered reflection of what I used to be,
A simple shard of mirrored glass,
because a moment in time changed me.

I thought we had the right to disagree
but a brute of strength and towering mass
Shattered the reflection of what I used to be.

Broken and bleeding red was all I could see.
I awaken to being show-and-tell for a doctor's class
because a moment in time changed me.

They reformed me smooth as a calm sea,
but still I felt like a simple shard of broken glass
a shattered reflection of what I used to be.

A resemblance in the mirror is all I could see
because titanium instead of bone is all that lasts
in time. A moment that changed me.

I see the cracks no one else can see.
Eyes see me as broken glass,
A shattered reflection is all I can be
a moment in time that forever changed me.
