I have never heard tragedy inside white walls.
I have never had to run though the doors in search.
I have never felt my life shatter.
She has.
She is very a custom to those walls.
She has been there more times then I can count.
She always has me worried.
She always proves me wrong.
She's always so excited about things she loves.
She gets poked and pricked, not a sound.
She is so kind.
She has worried her family sick.
She has spent forever in those white walls.
She never turns a cheek.
She has always been there for me.
I wish I could have been there, before third grade.
To give her hope, I'm here.
Your shield and your armor.

She is lucky to have you as a friend and support. Well written and honestly expressed.
