She'Ll Give You Time, But Not Forever.

Poem By L.E. Arndt

She’ll give you time, but not forever.
She can wait, she’s patient.
She is quiet and complacent,
But still, you must not forget her.

She doesn’t make demands this way.
She chokes and chuckles,
Bends and buckles,
But her ends, they still do fray.

She is content with hidden hands.
Holy palming,
Secret longing.
Two sets of footprints, distant in the sands.

She breathes in quiet winds.
Stolen glances,
Second chances,
She believes in secret sins.

But quiet is not silent.
Silence is not golden,
Words not a token,
But you do not relent.

She’ll give you time, but not forever.
She can wait, she’s patient.
She is quiet and complacent.
But you, you must not forget her.

I had me once a good woman;
A fairy without flight.
Her eyes could break the sun

It Wouldn'T Be A Lie To Call Your Eyes A Brighter Blue

It wouldn’t be a lie to call your eyes a brighter blue.
If I said your smile put mine to shame, it would not be untrue.
But in my hands – be they rough where yours are smooth –
There is a hand that clings to me instead of you.

This Is Something I Would Never Give

Run your hands up my leg
Ignore my frantic “no”.
Don’t listen to me sobbing.
Just feel the heavy throbbing
