She Tells Her Love

Poem By Robert Graves

She tells her love while half asleep,
In the dark hours,
With half-words whispered low:
As Earth stirs in her winter sleep
And put out grass and flowers
Despite the snow,
Despite the falling snow.

The repetition of " half" , the second coming so soon after the first, badly flaws this poem.
Concise and very appealing.
Line 5 in this copy should read: 'And puts out grass and flowers'
the same poem (as in the previous page)
