Shiver

Every thing about her makes me shiver...
shiver with delight and glee.
Her slightest glimpse gives me a quiver...
that sinks right down and shakes my knees.

The faintest scent of her hair a whisper...
of what I hope to be mine someday.

A failed voice that disappears....
A broken pride that makes me retreat.
A silent need that hides from fear...
A broken dream resounds defeat.

She makes me shiver...
Still I cannot be hers.
