Shopper's Stop

Into the heat of the noon,
With a purse barely filled,
Marvelling about those splurges,
Wondering when the next buying binge is,
I rambled along the corridors, one by one,
Of those shoppes in the Oberon.

From the times of sprees
That earned me classy wardrobes
To the days of gaping into stores
That led to momentary try-ons
With my giving up my niche,
I’ve reached the zenith of my paucity.
