Poem Hunter
ML (6/30/89 / Toledo Ohio)

A world of food has passed
Before these lips, quickly, cruelly
With a vengeance so I cannot taste it
Years of gorging so its seems so right

Surrounded by wrappers and bags
Laying back savoring it but then
The guilt, the remorse, knowing
All of what fat is for I was obese

Knowing it, living it, suffering it
Shame overtakes me at 100 pounds
And knowing I will never be thin
Fully Aware of how I will never look

Packed I rise, filled to the brim
Then I scamper to send guilt away
Heaving and retching trying
To become what I cannot be

Just a thought, Missy. You can be what you really want to be. Yourself
