Silent Cries

Poem By Yuki Shuiski

If you could only hear my silent cries,
How I mourn for my freedom,
Beyond these stone walls,
Nightmares haunt me,
Through the day,
As I weep,
My deadly cries,
Daily beatings,
For no crime,
I commit,
Hesitation is not an option,
For me now,
These stone walls,
Prison me,
Bind me,
In a place where I don’t belong,
My silent cries,
Echo throughout the room,
I weep,
For a reason I can’t explain,
In this dark room,
Where I’m alone,
I’m always alone,
As I weep,
My silent cries.

Moments past,
As the feeling fades,
The feeling of content,
Knowing that you would be there for me,

Why Can'T You See?

Why can’t you see?
That I’m only a child,
Going into a world unknown,
To me,

I knew you wouldn’t let me down,
Though I knew I thought wrong,
