Simple Feelings

Poem By Daniele Pinna

A simple caress;
a simple touch;
a simple kiss;
no, that's too much.

A simple hug;
a simple smile;
a simple 'I love you';
no, that's too wild.

A poisoned dream;
a lovely death;
steal them all,
and take what's left.

A needed passion;
a long-sought desire;
ignore them all;
yes, I'm tired.

What comes next;
what's in store;
you can tear my heart,
but I'll love you more.

Among these silent rocks,
darkness all about;

Waterfall of doubts
splashing on the misty shore.
Ripples cradle me.

A Dot

I am a dot,
a tiny dot,
occupying this lonely spot.

For me tonight is but a night
of a harlot's miser curse;
that I may fight my shameful blight
and test this latent verse.

I'm sure that searching
my soul I'd find,
a little bit of paradise
lost far inside my mind.

The first sunrise;
the first moon;
the last sought freedom:
the sight of you.
