Since Hanna Moved Away

The sky is grouchy gray.
At least it sure feels like that
Since Hanna moved away.

So lyrical a poem..it clearly conveys the reader of the cloud of pain and disappointment that shadow the heart of a lover. 10 for it.
Flowers smell like halibut. Velvet feels like hay. Every handsome dog's a mutt Since Hanna moved away. ......//// superb and beautiful poem//// like it
Nothing's fun to laugh about. Nothing's fun to play. They call me, but I won't come out Since Hanna moved away.. a very good poem. tony
A marvelous poem depicting ones state of mind when some one dear and near goes away and missed terribly. A well deserved modern poem of the Day.

Such a lovely poem. Seems you miss Hanna so much. The flow is amazing. Loved it.
Love this sweet, cute, sad, touching poem! So much emotion and depth can be expressed in a few lines, using simplest vocabulary! Congratulations for being chosen as POD, probably a few times!
My first time reading this by Viorst, and I find it charming and humorous. If you’re not familiar with it and can get access to it, read her children’s picture book Alexander and His Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. -GK
Second visit to this poem. Really it is beautiful one. Thanks and congratulations for being selected this poem as the modern poem of the poem of the day.
A very cute poem about a little girl mourning the loss of her childhood friend. But, hey- - - I like the taste of prunes! And December brings us Christmas!
This poem uses humor to tell a sad situation, that of nostalgia. One wants to laugh at some of the lines and then one sees that it is not a funny poem to give us laughs.
What a beautiful nostalgic poem. Filled with emotions and a deep friendship.
A love picture you painted and abeautiful rhythm and rhyme. Thanks for sharing
