Sinking

The ground melts below me, making me sink
The ground covers my face, making me choke
The last bit of air I have, gets wasted
It seeps out of my nose and mouth creating an air bubble
Darkness sweeps over me canceling my fear
The taste of grit in my mouth making me gag
Finally as my lungs finish screaming for air
I die.

Aside from straight to the point, this is bleak, cold even. My favorite line: 'Darkness sweeps over me canceling my fear'
